The Future and Soul of Skateboarding.
We can not let skateboarding die. With all these parks popping up every where, especially in the cites, kids are just going there all day every day not exploring the dirty fun street spots and downtown cites that are right there waiting to be skated. from a quote i saw "If downtown skateboarding dies, a portion of skateboardings soul dies with it." We cant let this happen.

where i live..
I'm so glad I live down the street from downtown san diego. I can leave my house and bomb down the street.
skateparks of san diego.
I came to relize that the skateparks in san diego are fucking wack. Nothing is fun they are all the same shit and a bunch of skater kids that skate all the same. Maybe a few stand out that you can tell have good style. The only good park is dalllas park in la mesa.

Josh mathews for ES
I was talking with my friends last week and how rad ES footwear is now, and how they are putting on all these rad underground skateboarders. And it seems that they are pushing the raw street skateboarding. Here is a clip of am Josh Matthews.

CROSSROARDS 2011 tradeshow at Blackbox.
So the Crossroads skateboard tradeshow was back at blackbox home of ZERO SLAVE and MYSTERY. I go to these every year and they seem worse all the time. But at the same time fun. This year just blew. It was a bit smaller this time. Lots of people running the booths looked over it. 5BORO was cool. The dudes allways chat with you show you the new shit. Lowcard DLX and Tumyeto were cool. Me and Gabe got free Pizza. Saw some friends. So it was not to bad. They had the usual carcass toss for best trick. Boring. We left and went skating up at Bishop park. Goodtimes. Till next time, cause I will go again. Because I love skateboarding and I ll fan out on my favorite pros see some new shit and see some friends. Check the pics.

The Minuit video
Filmed all at night in france and japan by french skateboarder Yoan Taillandier. If your a fan of night skateboarding then you know the feeling. Its a whole differnt senario then skating in the day. Less people, more spots to skate, freedom. But you get to see what/who comes out at night in the city. To start off the video...
Masaki Ui. French skateboarder who now rides for TRAFFIC skateboards. Opens the video and right off skates some crazy spots you wouldn't even think of skating. Lots of pushing (what I like to see) and lines for days all of what looks all spontaneous. Next up...
Sebastien Daurel. I think this guy has been around the french/european skate scene for a while now. I read he is in hi mid 30's but skate amazing still. Lots of fun spots and fun trick selection. His end section he skates this bowl that's looks crazy with black and white painted lines all over it giving it this dizzing depth to it. Then he bombs this allyway ona makeshift board that looks like 4 skateboards put together to nmake one. You can tell this guy loves skateboarding and still has much fun.
God can say the word fun more times in this review.....
Next up Soy Panday and Viven Fiel with the Magenta resistance. Full part that is soo good to watch Soy skating just flows. And Vivien ads just the right touch of his switch skating and qiuck skating. This parts leads into Loe Valls. I've been a fan of this guys skating since I stumbled upon his clip from a 48blocks post a few years back. This guy has his own style and tricks selection that nakes me wanto go out and power slide in traffic and swith 180 over shit and no comply in to the street.
Last part goes to Akira Imamura and the Japanese Forece.
I'm a big fan of Japanese skating and the spots they skate. This last part does not let down. Great creative skating for the japanese.
All in all this video is edited great with a good soundtrack that just fits this video and all the parts. Best song goes to Leo Valls. The video is full of uniqe spots and very spontaneous creative skating. Good work Yoan Taillandier and the whole Crew. Now I'm going to watch this video again before I. Go to work. And skate at night.

Ricky Oyola goes into to the mind of Bobby Puleo. Get to know what's with his views of street skatboarding today, trends, upcoming projects. This is a pretty good raw interview of a amazing, elusive, not in the mainstream yet a very respectable skateboarder who has been in the world of skatboarding from the mid 90's to now.
